Studio Elea is an independent kitchen design studio focused on creating well-planned, functional kitchens for everyday living, working across the UK and beyond. Our approach centres on clear layouts, thoughtful storage and kitchens that are designed to be used, not just looked at. Because we work independently, our advice is straightforward and unbiased, without the sales pressure often found in showrooms.
The studio is led by Sonja, a kitchen designer with over ten years’ experience working on residential projects in the UK and internationally. Having spent many years designing for kitchen companies as well as private clients, it became clear how often kitchen layouts are shaped by catalogues and commercial constraints rather than by how people actually live and use their space.
We offer a design-only service, independent of any supplier or manufacturer. This allows us to focus entirely on what works best for the room and the household, without product-led decisions or sales targets. Clients receive clear, detailed designs that can be taken to a joiner, architect, builder or kitchen company of their choice.
Our aim is simple: to design kitchens that are properly thought through, practical to use and well suited to everyday life.

We offer an independent kitchen design service, giving you a clear and considered layout before engaging with any kitchen suppliers. Clients can choose between a concept design to explore what’s possible, or a full design package with detailed plans, elevations and notes suitable for accurate pricing.
Each design is tailored to how you cook and live, with practical storage, sensible appliance placement and layouts that support everyday use. With no product pushing or sales agenda, the focus stays firmly on creating a kitchen that works well and can be taken forward with confidence.

HOW IT WORKS
The design process is simple. Here’s what to expect:

Rough dimensions are fine to start with. Photos of the space help too.

Full design turnaround
For the full package, final drawings and details are delivered within 1-2 weeks.

Fill out the style questionnaire (or schedule a call)
You'll get a link to fill out a style survey. This gives us a sense of how you cook, live, and what you want the kitchen to feel like.

Video call presentation
If you want, we can walk you through the design, explain the layout choices, and answer questions.

Quick concept design
You’ll get the initial layout and visuals within 3-5 days, depending on the package you choose.

Design revisions
You’ll have the chance to make changes so the design fits exactly what you need.
